DDD were tasked by Clan Jade Falcon to defend an HQ building. TTT was tasked to destroy it, but was not aware where the HQ actually was; so they had to scan the buildings on the map to find it.
DDD deployed around the center two buildings. TTT moved onto the map with half their force from the top end of the map (where you can see their LRM carrier). The other half would arrive on turn 2.
The LRM carrier did not move fast, the Phoenix Hawk moved as fast as possible to close the gap and pose as hard a target to hit as possible. The DDD units slightly repositioned but were not able to hit the fast moving enemy.
The Tian-Zong moved onto the battlefield from the left flank (from the point of view of the defender), the Phoenix Hawk jumped behind the Warhammer, and both TTT 'Mechs attacked, concentrating their fire, dealing some amount of damage to the Warhammer. The Manticore and the Griffin landed a good amount of damage in return on the Tian-Zong.
The damage was too much for the Warhammer, who fell to the ground.
While the Phoenix Hawk jumped out of sight behind one of the possible target buildings, the Tiang Zong felt the whole wrath of DDD.
This turn, the TTT 'Mech fell to the ground due to the damage being inflicted on it. The Phoenix Hawk scanned the building, and indeed identified the HQ!
The Griffin moved to chase away the attacker from the target building, while the Tian Zong started to retreat, still being the target of the Manticore and the Warhammer.
The Phoenix Hawk jumped away, but was still able to guide the LRM carrier's indirect fire on the target building, also hitting it with his large laser.
With a second volley, the target building was destroyed. TTT would win, if they could retreat with both remaining units - which unfortunately they failed. The LRM carrier was too slow to immediately retreat, which allowed the Griffin to target and destroy it with two solid hits from his ER PPC and LRM-20.
Thus, DDD achieved both of their goals, while TTT only achieved one.
