I started painting Lars, and the model just cries Khorne, even though there is no distinct Khorne symbol on the mini. The head on the shoulder huard comes close, but is different.
I broke out my Kimera colors, the second model I painted with them. I followed mostly the paint recipes as provided in the leaflets I got with the boxes. Really liked the behaviour of the colors and the mixing process. Still a lot to learn.
Some of the colors could be a bit thicker for my taste, but the second coat covers very well with the thinner ones.
After the armour was painted red (in hindsight, I should have gone for more contrast between shadows and highlights), I basecoated the gold parts and the sword/helmet crest in a brown/violet mix.
I then gave NMM my first try. Yeah… well… To be improved.
