Matthias placed the buildings, the white buildings representing the target buildings BSB wants to steal items from.
DDD was supported by two medium emplacements, while BSB brought an LRM carrier.
BSB advanced onto the map, targeting the medium emplacements with all they got. DDD tried to damage the Marauder, but was not able to hit much due to range, woods and BSB jumping around mostly.
Under the combined firepower of BSB, the first tower was destroyed, suffering 40 damage in one turn. Shortly before exploding, in a last act of defiance, it dealt 12 damage to the marauder, hitting on an eleven!
DDD retaliated by destroying the LRM carrier, but also lost their second emplacement. While Dougie in his Warhammer stayed with the target buildings, Bill Bonnert in his Griffin set out to harass the Hatchetman.
Whíle damage was dealt all the time, when conditions where ideal and the Griffin and Warhammer could combine their firepower with relatively low to-hit rolls, the Marauder suffered 50ish damage in one turn, and as a result toppled over.
The Hatchedman made contact with the first target building, and stole a box he was now carrying.
After a short visit to the second building, the Hatchetman started to retreat with two boxes. Both the Marauder and the Warhammer had to cool down at this point in time, having dealt quite a lot of damage to each other, both overheating in the process.
The Griffin tried to intercept the Hatchedman, but was not able to deal a lot of damage.
The Marauder then managed to score two critical hits on the Warhammer’s center torso in one turn, both hitting the gyro, thus collapsing the Warhammer and taking him out of the game.
While BSB further retreated, the Griffin stayed in contact all the time, harassing the retreating ‘Mechs with PPC and LRM20 fire, but was not able to cause enough damage to stop them. One turn proofed especially frustraing, where the PPC missed the Hatchetman on a 9 (needing a 10) and the LRM20 missed on a 10 (needing an eleven)…
The Marauder did loose one of his arms, but still both BSB ‘Mechs were able to retreat off the board with the two stolen boxes, thus scoring a win.
This is how the DDD ‘Mechs’ sheets looked at the end of the game.

Although we agreed it did not seem to make much sense, with BSB retreating from the field, and the Warhammer lying on the ground directly before the buildings it was guarding, with the Griffin still being active and the last ‘Mech on the field; the rules indicated that with winning BSB salvaged the Warhammer. BSB offered to leave it in place for 350 credits, though, which DDD accepted.
