Some time ago, I was ordering something and was 12 or so EUR short of getting free shipping. So I looked for something that I would need anyway at some point in the future, and found Dire Wolves. I moved the box from left to right a couple days ago while searching for something, and thought, why not do them now.
Man, I don't know when I built the last plastic kit from GW, but it was quite some years ago… probably before 2010. They changed. A lot. Are all of them like this now? The ones I know, you had parts you could combine in a lot of ways - this one is fixed. You build exactly the models as shown on the cover. Every change to that would require serious cutting and resculpting. The quality certainly improved, everything fit very well, too.
After one evening's work, I got the models assembled. I left off the two plastic bases (don't like plastic terrain, always stands out to my eyes) and used small rocks instead. For bases I used metal bases from Products for Wargamers, as always.
