Some time ago the clerk from the Mary Magdalene chapel at Stephansplatz started to act strangely. The rumor is that he sold his soul to the devil and in return was given a spell book. When the misgivings of the clerk were uncovered, he was executed. However just before his death he confessed his sins and returned to the bosom of the Church. He was buried in a cemetery, however since that time strange things started to happen there. Some say that it is the clerk’s soul that is still imprisoned in this world as he did not say where he hid the spell book. Others that it is the devil, angry that the pact was broken is milling about. One way or the other it must be investigated. This spell book can be a valuable resource…

On the last part of the board, The Envoys of the High Porte and the Defenders of the Crown quickly clashed.
Deimos was the first victim of the fight.
While Siegfried and a thug engaged the enemy, Schwester Ada and her uncled moved for one of the suspected objective points.
A melee ensued at the church, where the Envoys of the High Porte blocked a door and managed to keep the Defenders of the Crown out for some time.
The thug was easy prey, and Siegfried quickly found himself surrounded.
While Eisenhans was impenetrable, the Courtesan was quickly dispatched of, her skills not being the fighting ones. The Defenders of the Crown searched the potential objective site, but it was the wrong one.
The Defenders of the Crown still were not able to enter the church.
Siefgried was finally overwhelmed.
Om the other flank, Eisenhans slowly diminished the enemy with the support of two Knechte.

Esmeralda and Claus both moved into a room with one of the potential objective positions.
The Order of the Broken Cross cleared the street in front of the cemetary of enemies.
Also the potential objective point in the church did not yield the searched for item.
