I had the Mini Monsters Dark Wood Forest for some time in my stash, and when I stumbled upon Northstar's Scary Woods, I thought they would complement them, ordered these recently, and now make them all table ready.
The Mini Monster resin kits I am pretty impressed with; crisp detail, hardly any flash at all, no air bubbled, assembly fits very well. Totally recommended.
The Northwind forest was about half the price, which also shows in the quality. It is a soft plastic, with not so crisp detail and hard to remove mould lines. But for the price it is fine, and once painted I am sure they will look ok.
The Northstar trees were all in one piece, the Mini Monster trees were multi part, which I pinned with paper clips. I only needed minimal gap hiding with miliput afterwards.
I planned the layout on 3mm ePVC bases.
I added some larger pebbles, and added a first rise and angle for the Mini Monster trees with air drying clay.
