The first steps in painting the woods were taken with the airbrush, starting with a basecoat of Molotow One4All black followed by a zenithal hightlight of Molotow One4All white.
For the bark I then sprayed an overlapping pattern of
- Daler Rowney Ink Burnt Umber
- Daler Rowney Ink Antelope Brown
- Daler Rowney Ink Burnt Sienna
For the overfgrown parts I used
- Molotow One4All 145 future green
- Molotow One4All 239 signal yellow
All parts where a branch was broken off and on the tree stums, where the bare inner wood was visible, I applied a light spray of Molotow One4All 203 cool grey pastel.
Finally, all the skulls got re-sprayed white.
