The status were ready for priming.
Also, the roads were all done.
Here you see how I used the off-cuts to mount the branches of the four way intersection on. The gaps were filled with Brown Stuff.
Everything got sealed with a ModgePodge, alcohol and black acrylic paint mix.
Then I got out the airbrush and primed the statues in Molotow black.
Next came some under colouring in violet (bottom) and blue (top), with some green (for moss etc.) on the very bottom.
Over these colours I then used two different shades of grey as a zenithal, leaving the previous colours to show through, and thus making the stone a bit more interesting than just having it one grey.
For the roads, I did not airbrush them black, but started to paint directly over the sealing coat. This did not cover completey, leaving the white plaster show through, already providing some kind of grey which looked different than the ones on the status.
I used the same green to simulate growth on the road banks.
A creamy, beige colour was applied in spots to simulate dust.
I then applied the same greys as for the statues in irregular patches.
Everything got an indiscriminate black/brown oil wash mix, with green oil wash being applied intentionally to specific areas, again for a moss like effect.
Left the airbrushed tile, the two on the right have the oil washes applied.
