I decided to not rest the frame of the upper board on the pots themselves, fearing that over time the stickers I glued onto the lids would suffer. So I cut some longer 1cm dowels, to act as rest for the upper board.
I then removed some of the dowels glued in before, to glue the longer ones in their place.
Here are the two boards, before the lower one was glued into the box.
And done :-)
To lift the upper board out, I glued a strip of duct tape unto itself, this double-strenght duct tape is more than up to the job.
