This mini has a funny story. Originally, at least this is the first appearance of it I am aware of, this was a drawing of a Chaos Warrior smashing the 'H' in HeavyMetal, thus making it 'eavyMetal, as for example seen in Citadel Miniatures Painting Guide (1992), p. 4:

This series (starting around 1990) showcased painted miniatures, and sometimes painting guides.
When I saw the Chaos Warrior – Painting Contest by Knightmare Miniatures, I new I needed to have this nod to the past. And then it went to the leadpile.
But then came the 2023 Golden Gobbo Painting Competition on the Oldhammer Forum, the first Golden Gobbo competition I participated in, and I thought, well, an old-school painting competition, what better model to use than Chaos Warrior – Painting Contest. I didn't win the voting, but wasn't last place either, so fine with me.
Then, when I started my 'eavy Pigment series as a nostalgic tribute to the olden White Dwarf pages, I first thought of copying the original artwork and using it in my logo. But then I thought, let's go full circle, and took a photo of my painted miniature, imported that into Inkscape, where I was building my own logo, vectorized the photo, and used this – so the painting turned mini turned vector graphic.
