I blocked in all the colors. For the clothing I used the same four colors that I already used on the saddle trim. The trim on the clothing I painted in yellow. The rest was mostly some browns.
Then I hit a problem: The models are all wearing a broad sash type of thing, which cries out to be painted in a bright color to stand out. But I already painted so much else in bright colors… for now they are all black. I am thinking about white perhaps… not sure yet.
After that, the metal areas where washed with black, the rest of the models except the skin and the yellow with a mixture of black and dark sepia, both from Secret Weapons.
