Well… I did something wrong… the ladders were all sticky this morning. Either I did not let enough excess oil soak out, or I painted the oil on too thickly, or it is the wood, where the oil reacts differently on… normally my oil washes are dry over night, at least to the touch.
Bummer… the ladders are not usable today…
I still had some 2mm balsa rods lying around, got out The Chopper, and quickly cut some strips.
I fixed the upright posts in place with tape, the used the markings on the mat to glue down the vertical steps with wood glue.
Quick and dirty, still looked kind of OK-ish during today's game.
