Oil time. I prepared the oil colours by placing them on cardboard, to soak out the excess oil. This makes for a better wash consistency in my mind, and reduced the drying times.
I applied thick coats to the handlers.
The excess was then wiped off.
On the mutant handler, I applied white oil color dots, which I then blended with a dry brush.
This results in very nice transitions.
I repeated the process until I was happy with the overall look.
For the metal I used a mix I learned of from Marco Frisoni, which creates a kind of contrast paint/speed paint/express colour metal paint, stil letting some of the underlying colours and especially the underlying lightmap show through.
The rest of the miniatures was painted mostly with Golden SoFlat acrylics.
Then I added again some oil washes for panel lining etc.
I missed to take any pictures of the hounds. unfortunately. The hornly protrusions I painted with white oil colour. When the first coat was dry I again painted them with a coat of white oil colour for about 3/4 of their height, and the last 1/4 towards the tip with paynes grey oil. These two where then again blended into each other with a dry brush.
The teeth were painted white, and received a paynes grey oil wash.
