Using brown stuff, I stuffed all the holes. This was only to fill the gaps, to provide a base for the more detailed sculpting that would follow to blend the parts.
On the mutant handler, I also used the brown stuff to sculpt the top of the sword hilt. First I made a rim, then placed four flat discs, into which I pressed a ball point. All the little strands from the twine I removed by carefully torching the twine with a lighter.
For the axe wielding handler, I had a nice idea, which of course was way too complicated and time consuming. From toothpicks, I cut of the very tips.
These I then glued onto the wire with super glue.
To strengthen the bond, I covered the wire in super glue and sprinkled on natron.
With the sword bearers whip I simply thickened the wire with green stuff/miliput. The barbed whip got several coats of miliput thinned with alcohol brushed on.
All the hounds standing on one or two feet only got holes drilled into their feet, and paper clips inserted.
