The horns at the head and the bulb at the tail end I had painted in Golden SoFlat Permanent Yellow yesterday. Building on that, I applied slightly watered down Golden SoFlat Pyrrorole Red at one end, slighty watered down permanent yellow at the other end, then wetblended the two.
I then used Golden SoFlat Bismuth Vanadate Yellow mixed with Schmincke PRIMAcryl zinc white, and drew thin lines from the top of the horns towards the bottom. With the big bulb at the tail, i painted in some dots to create a kind of texture.
Finally, I mixed Golden SoFlat Pyrrorole Red with a tiny dot of Golden SoFlat Dioxazine Violet, and glazed a darker horn bottom, where they meet the green.
The scales down the back, I had applied the colder green oil wash. Staying with that, I hightlighted the scales by painting stripes towards their tips in Golden SoFlat Permanent Green mixed with Golden SoFlat Titan Green Pale, in several layers adding more titan green.
